چکیده

Abstract: This paper presents an on-board vehicular battery charger that integrates bidirectional AC/DC converter and DC/DC converter to achieve high power density for application in electric vehicles (EVs). The integrated charger is able to transfer electrical energy between the battery pack and the electric traction system and to function as an AC/DC battery charger. The integrated charger topology is presented and the design of passive components is discussed. The control schemes are developed for motor drive system and battery-charging system with a power pulsation reduction circuit. Simulation results in MATLAB/Simulink and experiments on a 30-kW motor drive and 3.3-kW AC/DC charging prototype validate the performance of the proposed technology. In addition, power losses, efficiency comparison and thermal stress for the integrated charger are illustrated. The results of the analyses show the validity of the advanced integrated charger for electric vehicles.

Control and Analysis of an Integrated Bidirectional DC/AC and DC/DC Converters for Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle Applications

The plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are specialized hybrid electric vehicles that have the potential to obtain enough energy for average daily commuting from batteries. The PHEV battery would be recharged from the power grid at home or at work and would thus allow for a reduction in the overall fuel consumption. This paper proposes an integrated power electronics interface for PHEVs, w...

A New Structure of Buck-Boost Z-Source Converter Based on Z-H Converter

In this paper, a new structure for buck-boost Z-source converter based on Z-H topology is proposed. The proposed converter consists of two LC networks similar to the conventional Z-source and Z-H converters. One of the characteristics of the proposed structure is that, without any changing in its’ power circuit, it can be used in different conversions such as dc/dc, dc/ac and ac/ac. This unique...

Isolated Bidirectional DC-DC Converter for Hybrid Electric Vehicle Applications

Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) offer many advantages, such as high fuel economy, low emissions, and silent operation. In HEVs, there are two or more different voltage buses for different purposes of the vehicle operation. There are needs of galvanically isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter to link different DC voltage bus and transfer energy back and forth. For example, on of the DC-DC conve...
